1 minute video evaluation
Q1: What have you learned during the
making of your preliminary task?
•Technical
aspects: (Editing
software) I have learnt how to import
clips from my documents onto premier pro. I am also able to select the clips I
prefer, arrange them in order and cut some of the sections. I have learnt how
to add effects to the clips to complete a smooth transaction. Also I have know
how to brighten up my clips, and to slow them down and to speed up. Finally, I
can export my final edit ready to be uploaded.
•Management
of time: From
completing this task I have learnt that I can manage my time reasonably, my
group planned everything out step by step the first couple of weeks so that we
had an understanding on what we needed to do and who was doing what. Our next
stage was to get all of the clips together over 2 days, this left us with a
week to edit the video and add sound. Overall my time management proved to be a
success as our task was completed on time.
•Group
work: I have learnt that I can work well within
my group to share any ideas that I think would be effective in our final piece.
We all communicated very well with each other and all did our jobs that we assign each other successfully.
Areas of success.
•In our group we planned the task out very
well, at the start our group did a story board on what we are going to include
into the video and who is going to do each part, also we planned out which
other people we would need to help us by taking part in our video.
•Another thing that went really well was
that we managed our time very well to make sure we had a finished product on
the deadline.
Areas for development.
•In our group the only thing we all
struggled on together was editing the video because it is new to us all. We all
tried doing different things on the programme and it ended up quite well but
still has room for improvement which we will keep practicing to make sure its
better each time.
Feedback from others.
•3
good things.
The
use of good shots including ECU and establishing shot.
Two
different songs that go well together and switch over well.
Clever
ideas from the story board.
3
things to improve.
A
wider range of camera shots could be used.
Use
of editing to improve the video
Make
the sound cross over a lot smoother.
