statement of intent for 'wave'

Statement of intent.
I plan to make a deodorant advert aimed at the brands target audience a unisex 16-25 year olds in an exam struggling with the answers who are panicking sweating etc.
Gets ‘Wave’ out of their bag and sprays and it changes their mood to calm and collected.
Chucks ‘Wave’ to girl who is also struggling to show the brand is unisex.
I can use a birds eye view for the image of the students panicking, then a close up of them showing their emotions, also eye-line shots to show them getting the deodorant out of their bags.

A deodorant for a basketballer who’s shots aren’t all going in and it’s knocking his self-confidence, he goes off the court to spray the deodorant to cool him down, when he gets back on the court he begins to feel more confident, and more importantly the shots are going in. There will be a range of diegetic and non-diegetic sounds in the advert, To the song Stronger – Kanye West (This is because it links to the video (sport)

In my TV advert for Wave I  will establish the brand name of ‘Wave’ and get people used to the name and know what the meaning of the brand name is, ‘when the wave is unexpected’. This will help present the brand as an essential item on an important day either for an exam of going out, because it is full of positives and helps you in the ways that you desperately need. My vision will suit the target audience and the scheduled time as someone in an exam doing a question during the day and taking a lot of time. It will adhere to ASA guidelines because it will not make any misleading claims, although comical it will not mislead any viewers. I believe the advert will be effective because it will get a lot of attention from the viewers, this is because it is comical and very easily remembered. This means that if they are attracted to the advert there will be more of a chance of the viewer buying the deodorant than someone who hasn’t seem the advert at all. It will be effective in how many products are sold overall.
